No shit Sherlock I've felt this for years, but at least you had the balls to say, if it was up to us here, we'd impose full US law in this matter, if your on my land I can shot you, no questions asked.
When someone has broken into your house, they want what you have or quite literally want to hurt you or a member of your family, either way you would have to be a fool to find out which, the days of a burglar running away when disturbed are over, the modern day robber / enemy comes complete with weaponry to your house, be ready. Faced with such and assailant do you?
- let him steal everything you own
- Potentially get attacked by him
- Potential have my partner and other love ones attacked, raped or in other ways harmed
- Or run the bastard through and do 15 years
